Work from home day- Worked on game for the hazmat project. Not too complicated, just have to get it done in time. Supposed to be due tomorrow, but still need to get the rest of the graphics, questions, feedback, and finish adding interactions and the game + testing.
Megan went to class tonight, so I have time to work on personal projects. I would like to finish planning out Intel game competition project, and get started on that, but I also would like to have some sort of "immediate gratification" and get something done tonight that I can actually see/ use.
I need to finish converting my diablo clone to use my engine, and then at least I'd have another game demo on my website, although I would like to work on that after I get finished with my multiplayer gaming book.
So it's 6:20pm right now- will have to get lunches ready, eat something, and ready for bed about 10. Hopefully we can actually get to sleep on time, so I can get my day started early tomorrow.
So almost 4hrs of work time, which will be very good if I can use it, although the problem is almost 2.5hrs have already gone by.
Looking forward to this weekend and also dreading it somewhat. Tomorrow we're going out for lunch, and going to see an art exhibit, which should be very interesting and informative.
On Saturday morning, we're goign to see Toystory 3 in 3d :D Excited- thats one of the first movies that got me very interested in 3d, and Pixar movies are always golden. I'll pay the extra $2-3 this time to see if anything actually looks 3d, but every other 3d movie has been terribly disappointing (from a "wow, there's actually 3d in here" perspective).
We have to do 2 different things for fathers day, so it wont be as productive of a weekend as it needs to be.
Also, I have free flights but we haven't been taking advantage of them. Pretty hard financially before, but now it's just finding the time to go, as well as planning. I really really hope to go many places this summer, heck I have almost 2 weeks left of vacation time, and haven't really had a vacation(before this job).... ever- or more accurately many many years.
Too much time at ASU, without learning much "useful" things. Heck, I learned a lot about transport functionality, and figuring out the speed a frog can produce urine, but hardly any classes I would call "fascinating". Gilbert chandler had some great teachers (Scott Adamson and Jenny something for Calc and Physics), but overall it was a lot of wasted time. A lot of big name people in the industry dropped out of college, and if I would have and just taught myself everything I needed to know, I would have learned a lot more, and been able to have some actual hands on experience, on stuff that I could actually use at some point.
Anyways thats off topic, and I need to get to work. Also need to spend the istockphoto credits before they expire in a week or so, and make some food, as well as a grocery list so we only go shopping once this week :-o
